Community Christian Church is a Bible believing New Testament Church that belongs to the Restoration Movement. We understand our responsibility to embrace the entire council of God and to make His word known to everyone.
The church subscribes to the following beliefs:
The Bible is the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).
Through it, God expresses His mind, His desires, and His heart.
Although we are a New Testament church, we believe the entire counsel of God to be relevant and edifying to every person. The word of God is the light of the world, food to the hungry, a guide to the lost, and life to the dead soul.
It is powerful (Hebrews 4:13-14), the source of unity (John 17), sanctifies the sinner (John 17:17-18), and produces faith (Romans 10:17).
The Father is the God head.
God is the creator of the universe (Genesis 1-2).
The sustainer of everything that exists (Hebrews 1:3).
The father (just as the rest of the members of the trinity) possesses
the attributes of omnipresent, omniscience, and almighty.
(Genesis 1:1; 1 Chronicles 29:10; Jeremiah 10:10; Matthew 6:9; Acts 1:7;
Romans 8:14-15; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Corinthians 15: 24; Ephesians 4:6)
Jesus is the second person of the trinity.
He is son of God who is also God incarnate, who came to the world to work as a mediator between God and men (1 Timothy 2:5).
Through belief in His name, one obtains forgiveness of sin, and eternal life (John 3:16).
He is the sacrificial offering sent by God, so that men could obtain forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 9-10).
(Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1, 2, 14, 18; Romans 3:24-26; Romans 8:3)
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity.
Sharer of the divine attributes that the Father and the Son possess. He knows the most intimate parts of God the Father (1 Corinthians 2:11).
The Holy Spirit inspired the Bible, and speaks to the heart of men through it. The Holy Spirit came down during the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 and empowered the disciples to preach boldly the word of God and bring thousands to the feet of Jesus. The Holy Spirit also empower the disciples of God through special spiritual gifts that enable one to bring forth fruits of righteousness through one’s service to the church and to the world.
(John 3:3-8; 14:16-17; 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 13; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18)
Human kind is the direct and only result of the creative power of the Most High God. He spoke, and his words made things come into existence.
We believe in one God in three persons, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Kings 8:60, Psalms 89:26, Isaiah 63:16, Colossians 1:15-19, Titus 2:16, Acts 5:3-5)
